Therapy in Brooklyn

We offer individual therapy and couples therapy for people in Brooklyn. Let your therapist know in your consultation if you prefer in-person therapy or virtual therapy.

We have two offices in Brooklyn where you can receive in-person therapy. Both offices are in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.

One of our offices is on 451 Keap Street, right off the Metropolitan G train stop and the Lorimer L train stop.

Our other office is at 109 N 12th Street - in Williamsburg right off of McCarren Park near the Bedford L/Nassau G stops.

Why should you choose our therapists?

Manhattan Therapy was co-founded by two highly specialized clinicians—Alissa Appel Jelveh, a Columbia University-trained psychoanalyst with over 15 years of experience, and Lola Noero, an integrative therapist certified in EMDR, NADA acupuncture protocol, and currently completing a four-year advanced training at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity.

Our practice is built on a foundation of research-driven care. We don't just follow trends—we study the data. Every therapeutic modality we use—psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gestalt—has been proven effective through rigorous research for conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, and relationship issues.

What sets us apart:

  • Teaching faculty credentials: Both founders teach at the Training Institute for Mental Health, training the next generation of therapists

  • Published research: Our team contributes to the field, including published work on psychedelics and mental health

  • Mind-body integration: We bring unique backgrounds including nursing, acupuncture, yoga, and Qi Gong to trauma-informed care

  • Anti-oppressive framework: We foster an LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist therapeutic environment that's not just stated—it's practiced in every session

  • Over 15 licensed therapists: A carefully selected team who "live and breathe effective therapy"

We offer a free consultation call with no pressure, so you can find the right therapeutic fit for your unique needs.
